Project description
The hydroelectric project of Alto Maipo is be located 60 km southeast of Santiago city and it involves the construction of two hydroelectric power plants, called Alfalfal II and Las Lajas, arranged in hydraulic series and producing 531 MW with water power coming form intakes over 70 km of tunnels and returning water to Rio Maipo canyon.
